                                              ARTICLE 1.
NAME AND MOTTO OF THE ASSOCIATION
NAME- Qur'an and Sunnah international association
MOTTO- Promoting authentic Islamic knowledge
                                                  ARTICLE 2.
 OFFICE LOCATION
Address.. Atadeka Central mosque, masjid Aqsa behind sky petroleum, Accra Ghana.
                                                ARTICLE 3.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the Association is open to the entire Muslims ummah and does not discriminate on the Basis of Race, Color, Age, Citizenship, Ancestry, Gender, Tribe and Disability
                                                 
                                                 ARTICLE 4.
RIGHT OF MEMBERS
A. Every member shall have the right to partake in any discussion of the Association.
B. All members shall have equal rights and responsibilities in the Association. Every member shall have the right to due process.
C. Every member shall have the right to be recognized and properly address the meeting in accordance with the by-laws of the Association.
                                                  ARTICLE 5:
 DISMISSAL OF MEMBERS
A. A member who misses more than three consecutive meetings and does not show any interest to continue as a member of the Association
B. A member/members who engages in activities or conduct that will tarnish the image or reputation of the Association. These activities may include but not limited to the following:
Insurance Fraud
Credit Card Fraud
Telephone Fraud
Forgery
Buying, Selling, using and possession of controlled substances
Stealing, Robbery and armed robbery
Misrepresentation/impersonation of another individual
Rape, alcholism And any other misconduct which is frowned the sharia laws and laws of the countries.
                                                        ARTICLE 6.
 AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
1. To be a veritable resource and platform for effective pursuit and acquisition of true Islamic knowledge.
2. To aim at reducing to the barest level the present high rate of ignorance of the Deen among Muslim.
3. To encourage the habit of reading and pursuit of scholarly research among Muslims.
4. To aim at preserving and protecting the integrity of the Qur'an and Sunnah of our beloved prophet Muhammad (s.a.w).
5. To aim at equipping the Muslim ummah with true Islamic knowledge for a better understanding and practice of the Deen.
                                                 
                                                    ARTICLE 7.
 ISLAMIC QUIZ AND SPELLING COMPETITION
The association will be organizing Islamic quiz which will be in three categories
1. Quiz among Islamic schools.
Islamic schools from different communities would be invited to take part in the Islamic quiz and spelling Competition organized by the association.
2. Quiz among Madrasah.
Madrasah from different communities will be invited to take part in the Islamic quiz and spelling Competition organized by the association.
3. Ramadan quiz
Ramadan quiz would be organize annually in the month of Ramadan involving participants from different countries in West Africa.
                                                   ARTICLE 8.
QUIZ COMMITTEE
There shall be a quiz committee who shall be in charge of setting questions and answers from authentic sources with references and to organize the quiz competition. This committee shall always be chaired by the appointed Quiz master and the other members shall have a broader knowledge related to the Ummah.
                                                  ARTICLE 9.
                                         
CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION AND APPRECIATION
The Association would issue out a certificate to each participants and the institution which will participate and will be signed by the Ameer.
                                                      ARTICLE 10.
EXECUTIVE MEMBERS
The executives shall be in charge of the day to day running of the association and shall be accountable to the members.
There shall be elections of executives every two years. Simple majority will be used to declare a winner of any position contested by members.
The AMEER (PRESIDENT)
 The Ameer shall preside over all meetings of the Association and shall be responsible for the proper conduct of members at such meetings. He will ensure that members behave in a constitutional manner and do everything that will tend to the welfare and progress of the Association. He shall assign officers and or members to undertake special or regular tasks on behalf of the Association. He shall perform other special duties and / or tasks which he may be assigned. He shall coordinate all activities concerning the Association and be able to forge unity among all members of the Association.
                     2. DEPUTY AMEER:
 He shall assist the Ameer generally and deputize for him during his absence and in all ramifications.
                    3. SECRETARY:
 He shall summon all meetings of Association. He shall keep record of minutes of the meetings; keep all records and documents of the Association. He shall assist the Ameer at all times. He shall give proper and timely notices of all Executive and general meeting to all members. He shall consult the Ameer on any new matter that may be included in the next meeting agenda before sending notice to all members.
                    4. ASSISTANT SECRETARY:
He shall assume the duties and responsibilities of the Secretary during his absence. He shall assist the Secretary at all times.
                   5. FINANCIAL SECRETARY:
 He is the Accountant of the Association. He shall record and deposit funds into the bank account on behalf of the Association. He shall maintain all financial records of the Association and render quarterly Association financial statement. He shall be responsible for the collection of all moneys, dues and fines due the Association. He shall issue cheque(s) for expenses subject to approval.
             6. ASSISTANT FINANCIAL SECRETARY:
 He shall assist the financial secretary and assume the duties and responsibilities of the financial secretary at all times.
             7. PUBLIC RELATION OFFICER:
 He is the Press/Media Officer of the Association. He shall handle all printing, advertising, launching annual anniversary publication, invitation/greeting cards and etc. Adequate arrangements shall be made to furnish funds as approved by the house to meet such expenses. He shall also serve as the Public Relations Officer and in events of a TV/Press interview; he shall seek the approval from the Association to attend such interview.
           8. ASSISTANT PUBLIC RELATION OFFICER:
 He shall assist the Publicity Secretary and assume his duties at all times.
             ARTICLE 11
PATRONS.
There shall be at least five outstanding members who will be appointed as patrons of the association.
They shall act as council of elders who will always advice and guide the Ameer and his executives in the management of the association.
                             ARTICLE 12
FINANCING.
 Revenue for the Association shall be raised from, but not limited to the following sources:
Membership registration fee.
Membership monthly and quarterly dues.
Special assessments, levies and fines.
Donations.
Other sources that may be approved by a majority of the Association.
                                       ARTICLE 13.
SIGNATORIES.
The following executives shall be signatory to the association account.
At anytime at least two of the signatories are required to access the association’s account.
Thus, the financial secretary and at least one of the executives mentioned in this article.
Under no circumstances shall a cheque be issued without adequate number of signatories and supporting documentation.

                                                    ARTICLE 14:
 ASSOCIATION EXPENDITURE
A. Expenditures shall be authorized by the Ameer with the approval of the majority the house.
B. Such majority approval for all expenditure shall be documented and audited on demand by members of the Association or an independent auditor.
C. the Financial secretary shall report the status of the Association's financial statements to the members quarterly and as requested.
D. An account shall be opened for the Association with a reputable bank in the world
E. Registration fees, monthly and quarterly dues, donations and contributions shall be deposited into the account.
F. Expenses incurred on behalf of the Association shall be supported with an official receipt to ensure full reimbursement by the financial secretary.
                                                            ARTICLE 15.
MEETING
1.WhatsApp Meetings. The WhatsApp meeting of the association shall be on the same day and at the same time every week, to be determined by the executive members
2. Special Meetings. Special meetings may be called
by the Ameer, any two members of the executive members,
or five general members submitting a written request to the
secretary. Previous notice of the special meeting shall be sent
to the members at least 3 days prior to the meeting, by WhatsApp, phone calls or messages.
3. Annual Meeting. The annual meeting is for receiving
reports, electing executive, and conducting other Islamic activities that should rise, the annual meeting would be held in the month of Ramadan.
                                                                    ARTICLE 16.
 AMENDMENTS.
These bye-laws may be amended at any or annual meeting provided that prior notice was given in writing at previous meeting and then sent to all members of the association by the secretary.
Notice may be given by WhatsApp messages, email or phone calls.
Amendments will be approved by two-thirds of the members present.
